Alana
Tutor, Major: Animation
Hi everyone, a little bit about myself is that I'm an animation major; I love all things art. I'm currently a sophomore as of spring 2024. Even though I'm an artist, I have a passion for creative writing as well as math, and I look forward to seeing all of the lovely people who attend Austin Peay that come by the Writing Center!
Jess
Tutor, Program: English Master's Program
My favorite type of literature is Early American literature - especially Hawthorne and Poe. I've also done theatre since I was 12, and I am pursuing a theatre minor alongside an English major and a creative writing minor. I played guitar and sang for a band from the age of 13 to 16.
Tarrah
Tutor, Program: English Master's Program
Tarrah has helped students write essays since 2015 and has come back to the Writing Center to share her love for grammar and writing. She attained two degrees from 365bet: a BA in English and an MA in Communications with a concentration in marketing. When she's not writing or reading, she's playing Pokemon Go, playing with her dogs, or singing and narrating to get through the day.
Winter
Tutor, Major: English Education
Hi, My name is Winter! I am a sophomore majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing & Publishing and Women's & Gender Studies. In my free time, I like to lie down with my cat, go on walks, go shopping, read, write, watch YouTube videos, check my e-mails, hang out with friends, and listen to music. I love working with the Writing Center because I get to teach and learn simultaneously, and I love the interactions I get to have with students regardless of where they are regarding their writing. I also am so grateful for the opportunity to work with other writers and thinkers in a professional and friendly setting! This semester, I am most excited to meet new first-year and upper-level students who have yet to utilize the Writing Center's services. I am also delighted to be in the classroom with students as an embedded tutor for a theatre course!
